Tamiya 9808234 - Group C Chassis - special double sided Tape for Foam Tires (6+2 stripes)

With the Tamiya Group C chassis, the tires are mounted on the rims with double-sided adhesive tape (instead of the usual superglue).
What seems strange at first works unexpectedly well with the stresses of this chassis.

If you want, you can still glue your tires with superglue (be careful - how does the glue get to the middle of the wheel to prevent it from swelling?) or use some other very thin tape from the hardware store.

If you really want to use the original Tamiya tape, you can now do that too.

The tape is specifically designed for the Group C rims and is 140mm long each.
Tamiya uses wide strips (20mm) and narrow strips (12mm).
Two wide strips are used for the rear and two narrow strips for the front.

Now comes the stupid catch with this set:
The set includes TWO strips for the rear and SIX strips for the front.
To glue a complete set of tires you need two packs and then have four strips left for the front.
This configuration is specified by Tamiya and unfortunately we cannot change it.
