In most cases, in 2025, preglued wheels will be used - so you can use them (more or less well) already glued out of the bag
But there are still classes in which you have to glue the tires yourself. For example, the Porsche Cup in the RCK-KleinSerie - which is essentially what this tool is aimed at.
Some people enjoy it - some don't.
Those who don't like it - or maybe can't - will find useful help here.
First of all, a few frank words about the topic of gluing aids:
There are some gluing aids on the market that we always laugh at and find completely superfluous.
The difficulty is always the question: How do I press the tire evenly off the rim?
This BS3 tool is designed differently.
You screw the outer part down through the thread and apply even pressure to the tire.
The application:
...is extremely simple. The tire is inserted and the outer part is screwed down as far as necessary. Then the superglue is applied all around the gap.
The outer part can then be removed again.
Done.
The whole thing can then be screwed together to save space.
The tool is suitable for 1:10 touring car tires. The width does not matter - whether 24mm, 26mm or 30mm.
The inner diameter of the outer part is 58mm. The optimal outer diameter of the rim flange is 52mm.
The whole thing is optimized for gluing Tamiya slick or radial tires as used in the RCK-KleinSerie.
Tips:
This is a 3D printed part. The part is beautifully made - but you can still see this clearly. 3D printing is just right for the intended purpose.
When the tire is inserted, the last part by pushing the tire away from the rim is very difficult to turn. To do this, you can "grease" the upper threads a little (e.g. with copper paste) or change the position of your hands. You instinctively want to grab the very grippy tool in the recesses and simply screw it on or off. This works great without anything inside. The resistance makes it difficult and using more force only makes it worse because you deform the outer part. We recommend that you hold the tool between your palms and twist it with pressure from above and below - it is then really very easy. Only until you can grip it normally again. Please be careful with fresh superglue in this moment.
