The #2213 SWITCHED balance extension for iChargers (4010,308 & 406) has a switch to change the sensing wires from 1S to 2S.

When the switch is pushed forward, towards the charger, you are wired for 1S charging.
When the switch is pushed towards you, you are wired for 2S charging.
You only use the 2mm balance plug (blue) when balance charging a 2S pack (this wire is disconnected internally within the switch when you have the cable set to 1S).
